Hello Hornsby
Introducing ‘Hello Hornsby’, a special program of regular activities, outings, events, information sessions and workshops for Hornsby Shire residents.
‘Hello Hornsby’ will create environments and opportunities where everyone can come together, meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and perhaps even try or learn something new.
The program of events will be free of charge and will be held in various locations around the Shire.

Pizza Pop Up for Mental Health Month
Wednesday 8 October, 12pm-1pm, Berowra Skate Park
All are welcome to drop in, enjoy a slice of pizza and a cold drink, connect with the community, and take away information about community events, activities, and resources to support health and wellbeing.

Carers Week Morning Tea
Tuesday 14 October, 10am-11.30am
Location: The Brook Eatery, Cherrybrook Shopping Village
In recognition of the invaluable role carers play in our community, Hornsby Shire Council will host a special morning tea to celebrate and support those who care for others.

Cuppa time for Dementia
Friday 17 October 10.00 am - 11.00 am
Join us for an informal gathering — share a cuppa, conversation and community spirit.
Enjoy some:

- Information and resources about dementia support
- A safe, welcoming space to share, learn and listen
Dementia Alliance/DCAF Collaboration morning tea for people with dementia and their carers on Friday 17 October from 10am to 11am at Hornsby Library.
10am-10.30am: DCAF
10.30am-11am: Conversation with local resident, Jay Kulkarni "living with and well with dementia".
Let’s come together, raise understanding, and break down stigma — one cuppa at a time.
Bookings are not required.
HSC Afternoon Tea
Wednesday 22 October, 2.30pm-4pm
Location: Hornsby Library
To support local students during the HSC period, a relaxing afternoon tea will be held in Hornsby Library. Students are invited to take a well-earned break, connect with peers, and enjoy free refreshments in a calm and welcoming environment.
Additional opening hours of Hornsby Library and Pennant Hills Library will also be available from 7 October to assist students with study, with students permitted to arrive between 9am and 9.15am on weekdays.

Grandparents Day at Koala Park
Sunday 26 October, 9am-11am
Grandparents in Hornsby Shire are invited to bring their grandchildren along to Koala Park for a special day out in celebration of Grandparents Day on Sunday 26 October.
Free tickets are available and must be booked online. Tickets grant entry to Koala Park between 9am and 11am on the day. Spaces are limited, so early booking is encouraged.
