Hello Hornsby
Introducing ‘Hello Hornsby’, a special program of regular activities, outings, events, information sessions and workshops for Hornsby Shire residents aged 60+ years.
‘Hello Hornsby’ will create environments and opportunities where seniors can come together, meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and perhaps even try or learn something new.
The program of events will be free of charge and will be held in various locations around the Shire.
This project is brought to you by your Special Rate Variation. Building a stronger future for Hornsby Shire.

Celebrate World Yoga Day with us

Location: Hornsby Library, 28-44 George Street, Hornsby
Event cost: Free. Bookings are essential as places are limited.
Join us for a relaxing and inspiring World Yoga Day event at Hornsby Library.
Connect with community, enjoy some light lunch and discover the benefits of gentle movement and mindful connection.
We are delighted to have Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shed partnering with us!
Event schedule:
- 11.30am-12.30pm – Light lunch, networking and info sharing
- 12.30pm-1.15pm – Chair Yoga session suitable for all levels (40 places available)
- 1.15pm-2pm – afternoon tea and connecting.
The Riverboat Postman Tour
Thursday 26 June, 10am-1pm
Location: Hawkesbury River Marina, 9 Dangar Rd, Brooklyn NSW 2083
Event cost: Free. To be eligible you must be a resident of Hornsby Shire who has not joined us on previous trips on The Riverboat Postman.
Council is offering a trip on The Riverboat Postman to those who may have missed out on trips in the past. This special trip is open to Hornsby Shire residents of all ages, who have never been on this trip before. We encourage all those keen to complete our Expression of Interest form and up to 95 lucky people will be chosen at random from all eligible entries*. Those who receive tickets via this process will be informed via email by 16 June.
This trip will embrace our Hello Hornsby motto of connecting with others and trying something new while exploring the beauty of Hornsby Shire.
