Programs for Preschoolers

Due to the COVID–19 (coronavirus) pandemic, all library branches are now closed until further notice.

During this time, the following applies to all library services:

  • After hours chutes are open at all locations 24/7 to return your items
  • Due dates on all loaned items are being automatically renewed
  • No overdue fines are being applied, as of Monday 16 March 2020
  • Reservation of collections has been suspended
  • Digital resources can be accessed from our eLibrary and via the Library App
  • Digital membership is available here
  • Our staff are available Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm.

Benefits of Storytime

What will my child get from Storytime?

An introduction to a wide range of books and stories, as well as chance to socialise with other children and an opportunity to develop motor and language skills.

How can we get the most out of Storytime?

  • Please arrive on time so that your child does not miss any of the session;
  • For privacy reasons, please do not take photos or videos.
  • Listen to the stories with your child;
  • Encourage your child to participate in the activities;
  • If your child becomes restless, upset or excessively noisy, please feel free to leave the session until your child has settled.

Introduces babies and toddlers to the world of books, songs, rhymes and fingerplays.
