Cr Monika Ball – Greens

Monika values health and wellbeing. She enjoys gardening, bike riding, swimming, tennis, and walking. As a long-term resident of Pennant Hills, former committee member of the Pennant Hills District Civic Trust, regular clean up organiser, tree planter, and founder of Green Thumbs of Hornsby Shire Facebook Group, Monika thrives on contributing to her community.

In this term of Council, my priorities include:

• Rapid Implementation of the Sustainable Hornsby 2040 strategies with a focus on health, reducing waste and building safe connected cycle ways.
• Executing on strategies to deliver affordable and sustainable housing
• Creating a community that is inclusive and equitable for all cultures, ages, and abilities

Background 

Monika works for a local team of ecologists, helping the community reduce their chemical load on the environment. She has studies in Landscape Design, Holistic Land Management and Permaculture. Prior to this, Monika spent 20 years in the corporate sector in business relationship roles.
