What Bulky Waste Services do I receive?
The type of property you live in will determine the type and frequency of service you will receive.
Scheduled Bulky Waste Collection Service
You will receive twice yearly scheduled bulky waste collections.
Residents can place up to three (3) cubic metres of approved bulky waste on the kerbside from the weekend before your scheduled collection week.

Booked Bulky Waste Collections
You can book additional on-call bulky waste collections. The user pays service allows you to have three (3) cubic metres of bulky waste collected from your kerbside for $65 plus GST per collection. Payment is required at the time of making the booking, either by credit or debit card.
This service is provided by Council’s waste collection contractor (Cleanaway) who will manage your booking and payment.

The service will occur within two weeks of making your booking. You will be advised the collection date when you book, and a confirmation email will be sent to you. The on-call service will be scheduled to occur on your yellow lid recycling bin collection day.

All apartment complexes five (5) storeys and under will receive a monthly bulky waste collection on the third week of each month.

A complex is entitled to place up to five (5) cubic metres of bulky waste on the kerbside for collection and Council’s waste collection contractor (Cleanaway) will collect it on either Thursday or Friday of your scheduled collection week.
Bulky waste can be placed on the kerbside from the Saturday before your collection week up until the Wednesday night of your collection week and must be placed in a neat pile in front of your complex.
Strata management can book user pays bulky waste collections for your apartment complex. Individual residents will not be able to book a service directly. Individual residents must contact their Strata Manager to enquire about the next booked bulky waste collection at your complex. Strata management can access bin signage, stickers and educational resource here.
The service allows your complex to have five (5) cubic metres of bulky waste collected from an agreed on-property collection location for $150 plus GST per collection. Payment is required at the time of making the booking, either by credit or debit card.

Strata Management can make an on-property bulky waste collection booking by calling the Waste Hotline on 13 70 30, between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The service will occur within two weeks of making the booking.
Strata Management will be responsible for arrangements to present the bulky waste to the agreed on-property collection location from onsite storage rooms.
All Houses on Dangar Island receive two (2) scheduled bulky waste collections and one (1) scheduled green waste collection per year.

You are entitled to place up to three (3) cubic metres on the kerbside of your property. Bulk green waste must be bundled and tied, and able to be lifted by two people, with items no longer than 1.5 meters. Any leaves and grass clippings must be bagged.
A small number of Council pre-approved properties are entitled to place their bulky waste or bulky green waste on their wharf for collection. Residents from Berowra Waters receive two (2) scheduled bulky waste collections and one (1) scheduled green waste collection per year.

You will be required to self-haul your bulky waste or bulky green waste and deposit it in the approved bulk haul-up bins provided by Cleanaway near the western side boat ramp from the Thursday before the collection Saturday.
It is an illegal dumping offence to present bulky waste before the bulk haul-up bins are placed at the designated collection location.
This bulky collection service is strictly for Berowra Waters Rivers Settlement residents only who do not have street access to Council’s normal bulky collection services. It is considered an illegal dumping offence for any other resident to deposit bulky waste at the designated Berowra Waters location.
