What are the objectives of the heritage item review?
The objectives of the Heritage Item Review project is:
- To strengthen Councils current heritage list, management and protection of properties/places not previously identified.
- To review potential new heritage items and provide recommendations for inclusion or exclusion from Schedule 5 of the HLEP.
- To review items for potential removal from listing.
- To determine whether particular items meet the thresholds for listing on the State Heritage Register.
- To prepare heritage inventory sheets for identified properties that are recommended for heritage listing.
- To present data and information in a contemporary and usable format.
- To inform the heritage content of Council’s subsequent Planning Proposal to implement the Schedule 5 changes recommended.
