North Epping Oval Fitness Trail
Council undertook community consultation in March 2025 for the proposed North Epping Oval fitness trail.
The aim of the project is to provide improved community access to regional open space with new fitness trail connecting North Epping Oval to Lane Cove National Park. The project will be delivered in Two (2) Stages as per availability of funding.
Following the community consultation period the Draft Landscape Plan is amended to take on board the feedback we received from the community.
Key elements as part of this first stage work involved:
- concrete pedestrian footpath around north and east side of North Epping Oval
- footpaths along parts of Beck Street and Downes Street linking to the existing Lane Cove National Park walking trail
- fitness equipment on Northern side of the Oval.
Detailed design drawings will commence in August 2025, followed by construction work, which is expected to begin in September 2025 and be completed within eight weeks, weather permitting.
The second stage works of footpath near amenities building and additional fitness station is subject to future funding.
