Hornsby Shire is famous for its bushland and waterways. Along with vibrant commercial centres, many sporting facilities and parks, Hornsby Shire is a great place to live!
Hornsby Shire Council is directly responsible for 2,000 hectares of bushland. Council manages policies and strategies as well as operate programs to ensure that our bushlands and waterways and the flora and fauna that live in them are protected.
All high schools in Hornsby Shire are invited to submit a short, written entry (100 words or less) on the Youth Week theme 'It’s Up To YOUth' and what it means at your school.
The prize is a FREE Ice Cream Social (served by Retro Birdie) for all students, teachers, and staff of the winning school.
Entries need to be submitted by a Teacher or Staff Member of the school.
Schools can submit more than one entry.
The winning school needs to be able to host the Ice Cream Social on site, on the last day of Term1 – Friday 8 April 2022 between 12pm-3pm.
The winning school needs to give permission for the name of their school and their submission to be published by Hornsby Shire Council.
Submissions due by Monday 4 April at 5pm. Late entries cannot be accepted.
The winning school will receive a FREE Ice Cream Social on-site, at their school, provided by Retro Birdie on the last day of Term 1 – Friday 8 April 2022 - between 12pm - 3pm. No transfers or substitutions.
