This Dharug Language lesson is designed to build knowledge and understanding of the Dharug/Darug Dalang (language) in a supportive environment. You will also learn the history of the Dharug/Darug Language in context and the language 'heroes' who continue to play an integral part in the reclamation and revitalisation process of igniting the Dharug/Darug Dalang Language.

Bayala Aboriginal Corporation aims to revitalise the Dharug Dhalang language. Bayala (Lets speak together) sees language as a bridge to ancestral connection and cultural identity.

Rhiannon Wright is a proud Dharug woman and the grand daughter of Dharug Elder Aunty Edna Watson. Her family have been advocating for and teaching Dharug language to all whose hearts are open enough to receive it for many years and Rhiannon is following in the footsteps of her grandmother by learning and teaching Dharug language on Dharug Ngurra alongside many other wonderful Dharug community members.
