This popular three-hour 15-minute (5.7 km), moderately challenging bushwalk in the upper valleys of Lane Cove National Park showcases a rich variety of birdlife and wildflowers. Along the iconic sandstone ridges, many small birds such as honeyeaters, wattlebirds, and wrens may be seen, and native flowers abound. In the Devlins Creek and Byles Creek valleys we may be lucky enough to observe the resident powerful owl. And who will be the first to spot the whale?

Grade: 3 (moderately challenging) - sections of trail are hilly, steep and rough, with the occasional shallow creek crossing. More information about walk grades
Suitability: Adults and older teens (16-19 years) with a little bushwalking experience and a moderate level of fitness. Not suitable for children.
Supervision: Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Nearest train station: Pennant Hills Station is a 15-minute (1 km) walk from the meeting point.

Please note:
