This six hour (10km) challenging circuit walk starts along the Sphinx Track, then Warrimoo Track and back along the Bobbin Head Trail in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This is a relatively long walk goes through open forest, woodland, gully rainforest and mangrove communities, we examine the species present, discuss the heritage values of Bobbin Head, the Sphinx and the several Aboriginal sites, as well as park management, fire and pest management. We also have time to admire some great views of Cowan Creek and spend some time at Bobbin Head.

Walk Grade: 4 (Challenging) More information about walk grades.
Suitability: Adults and older teens with bushwalking experience and a high level of fitness. Not suitable for young children or toddlers.
Supervision: Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note:

  • Mobile reception is unreliable on this event.
  • This is a circular walk returning to the carpark / bus stop on Bobbin Head Road at Nth Turramurra.
  • Free parking is available outside the Park.
  • Park use fees apply if parking inside Ku-ring-gai Chase NP.
  • The estimated time given for this event does not include this travel time.
