Drainage Improvement works – Wareemba Avenue & Bungowen Avenue, Thornleigh

The proposed works include upsizing of existing stormwater pipes and construction of stormwater pits. The aim of these works is to improve stormwater drainage and reducing flooding during major storm events.

These works are scheduled to commence in February 2023 and is anticipated to take approximately 16 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

It is expected that the proposed works will cause some temporary inconvenience and disruption to road users and nearby residents, mainly from excavation in the road and drainage easement, construction noise, storage of construction materials and sheds in the road reserve, as well as partial temporary loss of access to parts of affected properties. Traffic control measures will be implemented to minimise disruption.
