Extra chance to have your say on Hornsby Shire's future

Publish date:

Hornsby Shire Council has announced two extra consultation events, giving the community further opportunities to have input to the Local Strategic Planning Statement.

Hornsby Shire Mayor Philip Ruddock said the extra events are a response to the overwhelming level of public engagement so far.

“We are thrilled with the volume of people who feel passionately about their community and want to have a direct say in its future,” Mayor Ruddock said.

“It’s excellent to see, particularly when we are preparing such an important document.

“This will be the roadmap to guide planning and development over coming decades in Hornsby Shire and it is crucial that everybody gets the chance to add their input.

“I thank all those who have given us their feedback so far and encourage everybody to make sure you take advantage of this extra opportunity.”

The additional two engagement events will take place at Hornsby Shire Council Chambers, from 5pm to 8pm, on Thursday 3 October and Thursday 10 October.
