Hornsby Shire’s popular ‘Food Truck Fridays’ events are back, supported by the NSW Government’s ‘Festival of Place – Summer Night Fund’ program.

Food Truck Fridays will again be showcasing some of Sydney’s best food truck offerings at two locations in Hornsby Shire on Friday evenings in February and March from 5pm to 8.30pm.

In February, Food Truck Fridays will be at Berowra Oval (February 4,11,18 and 25); then in March, they will be visiting Pennant Hills Library & Community Centre (March 4,11,18 and 25).

Each site will be fenced, and each event will be ticketed (free) with a maximum capacity of 800 patrons. Face masks are strongly recommended for Food Truck Fridays attendees.

Tasty treats will include Italian pasta dishes, Greek lamb dishes, ice cream and gelato, Indonesian satay, Turkish gosleme, American-style burgers, burritos, nachos, Central American tamales, tacos – and much, much more! A pop-up bar will also be open.

The perfect way to wind down for the week!

“More than just providing delicious treats, our Food Truck Fridays events make for a COVID-safe and friendly environment where you can relax and enjoy our public spaces,” said Hornsby Shire Mayor, Philip Ruddock.

“The idea of the Food Truck Fridays events is to promote community wellbeing by giving people opportunities to safely return to public spaces and to activate our evening and night-time economy.

“Events such as Food Truck Fridays are a boon to local small businesses. The events boost foot traffic and dwell time in local centres and support job creation for the creative and hospitality sectors.

“Bring the family, bring friends, and make it an occasion to re-connect with the community and have a great time at the same time!”, said Mayor Ruddock.
