Relocation of Customer Service to the Library

Council’s face-to-face customer service counter has relocated from the Council Chambers building to the Hornsby Library (28-44 George Street, Hornsby)

Why are we relocating the Customer Service staff?

The Hornsby Library offers a more centralised location for customers, along with greater parking opportunities within the Westfield shopping towers.

What time will Customer Service be open at the Library?

The Council Enquiries counter will be open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Customer Service team members are available 8.30am to 5pm via telephone, and online services are available 24/7.

Where will the Customer Service desks be located?

The Council Enquiries counter will be located to the left of the main entry area. This area will have designated signage making it easily visible.

Will the location for Council deliveries change?

No. Deliveries will continue to be received at 296 Peats Ferry Road.

Couriers will need to ring the doorbell or call so they can be met by a team member at the front of the chambers building.

How do I access GIPA records?

Council’s GIPA database is currently being digitised. Customers wishing to access a GIPA record should continue to lodge applications online, the GIPA team will advise if the request can be processed electronically.

How do I meet with a Council Duty Planner?

Council’s Duty Planners will continue to be available for telephone consults. Telephone enquiries can be booked online between 8.30am-12.30pm, Monday to Friday. Appointments are made on line Online Booking Duty Planner or alternatively, by calling the Customer Service team on 9847 6666.

What types of transactions can I do at the Council Enquiries counter in the library?

RATES

  • Pay rates via EFT or credit card (with fee attached)
  • Receive a copy of your current Rates Notice
  • Lodge Hardship form
  • Lodge pension rebate form

ANIMALS

  • Change of ownership form
  • New ownership form
  • Add desex certificate to animal registration details

SERVICE REQUESTS

  • Lodge in person

TREE APPLICATIONS

  • Access a paper version of the form
  • Make payment and lodge a Tree Application

HOME MODIFICATIONS

  • Pay an invoice (via EFT only)

GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • Speak to Customer Service regarding various issues

CROSSLANDS CAMPING & SPORTS OVAL KEYS

  • With prior notice, keys can be collected from the Council Enquiries counter
