Notice of Commencement: Amendment to Hornsby Shire Council Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2019-2029

At its meeting on 8 April 2026, Council adopted an amendment to the Hornsby Shire Council Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2019-2029. This amendment became effective on 13 April 2026.

The amendment involved the expansion of the works schedule to install gateway and suburb signage. Further information can be obtained from Council’s Your Say page on this project.

 

Section 7.11 Development Contributions Plan (formerly Section 94)

The S7.11 Plan applies to all new residential and commercial development including subdivision, new dwellings, seniors housing (excluding residential care facilities), retail premises, business and office premises.

The Plan applies to residential accommodation which includes attached dwellings, dual occupancies, and secondary dwellings (granny flats).

Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan (formerly Section 94A)

The Section 7.12 Plan applies to additions and alterations to residential development, alterations to commercial development, industrial development, residential care facilities and any other development.

Hornsby Town Centre Precinct Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2025 (Section 7.12)

The Hornsby Town Centre Precinct Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2025 applies to development within the Hornsby Town Centre area, also known as the Hornsby TOD Precinct. It applies development contribution levies of up to 4 per cent within the precinct, in accordance with levies identified in Clause 209 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.
