Community grants
Hornsby Shire Council supports local community groups by providing and assisting with community grants.

Hornsby Shire ClubGRANTS Donation Scheme
ClubGRANTS funding is available for community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities. The money comes from the four largest registered clubs in the Shire.
Category 1 – Please note: applications for Category 1 open Monday, 31 March 2025 and close 5pm, Friday 30 May 2025.
Specific community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities.
The Category 1 funding round is nearly complete for 2025. Applications were reviewed in June and in July an allocation of funds was made. Recommendations were then provided to the boards of each of the participating clubs (Hornsby RSL, Magpies Waitara, West Pennant Hills Sports Club and The Galston Club) and formally accepted prior to informing successful applicants in approximately mid-August. This year, unsuccessful applicants will also be informed by participating clubs rather than by Council. Thank you to all applicants for the time taken to submit an application.
