Native Plant Giveaways 2026 - Southern suburbs

This year, the Shire has been divided into two geographic groups.

The March giveaway is open to residents of: Beecroft, Castle Hill, Cheltenham, Cherrybrook, Dural, Galston, Glenhaven, Middle Dural, Normanhurst, North Epping, Pennant Hills, Thornleigh, Wahroonga, Waitara, West Pennant Hills and Westleigh.

Residents in other suburbs will be invited to attend the August event.

Each Hornsby Shire household can collect four free native plants per calendar year.

Choose from a wide range of grasses, groundcovers, shrubs, climbers and trees — all lovingly grown by our amazing volunteers and staff. They’ll be there on the day to help you choose the right plants for your garden.
