Native Plant Giveaways 2026 - Northern suburbs

This year, the Shire has been divided into two geographic groups.

The August giveaway is open to residents of: Arcadia, Asquith, Berrilee, Berowra, Berowra Heights, Berowra Waters, Brooklyn, Canoelands, Cowan, Dangar Is, Fiddletown, Forest Glen, Glenorie, Hornsby, Hornsby Heights, Laughtondale, Maroota, Mt Colah, Mt Kuring-gai, Singletons Mill and Wisemans Ferry.

Each Hornsby Shire household can collect four free native plants per calendar year.

Choose from a wide range of grasses, groundcovers, shrubs, climbers and trees — all lovingly grown by our amazing volunteers and staff. They’ll be there on the day to help you choose the right plants for your garden.
