Get ready for a fun and interactive science experience to celebrate National Science Week! 

This unique event will allow you to rotate through engaging science stations, meeting and learning from Council's very own environmental scientists. Gain insight into a variety of environmental topics through hand-on activities and fascinating demonstrations.

  • Fire Behaviour and Ecology: Discover how weather, landscape and ecosystems shape fire behaviour – and how fire shapes ecosystems in return.

  • Pollinators: Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Discover how pollinators directed the evolution of native wildflowers.

  • Native Plant or Weed? Learn to identify our beautiful native plants from invasive weeds using AI.

  • Nip Creek Pollution in the Bud: Discover how to keep our waterways healthy. Things that go into stormwater that don’t belong.
