All guided bushwalks are for Hornsby Shire residents only.

From the railway to the river, this rewarding four-hour (6 km), moderately challenging to challenging return bushwalk takes us down to the picturesque Jerusalem Bay on Cowan Creek.

We descend through different vegetation communities and on the way examine evidence of the Aboriginal occupation and use of the area. We then meander along the banks of the bay and reflect on its Aboriginal and historic heritage. After admiring the million-dollar views, we slowly meander back up to Cowan Train Station admiring the unique plants and animals along the way.

Walk grade: 3.5 (moderately challenging to challenging) - sections of trail are hilly, steep and rough.
Suitability: Adults and older teens (16-19 years) with some bushwalking experience and a moderate level of fitness; also younger teenagers (13-15 years) experienced with bushwalking and a high level of fitness. Not suitable for children.
Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note: Mobile reception is unreliable on this event.
