Kanagaroo Point bushwalk

All guided bushwalks are for Hornsby Shire residents only.

On this 2.5 kilometre (2 hour) relaxed walk, delve into the fascinating ecology of the mangrove and endangered saltmarsh communities along the recently constructed boardwalk beside Seymours Creek at Brooklyn.

Where the land meets the estuary. The specific challenges that the intertidal zone poses for plants and animals will be discussed as will the threats to this habitat type. We will have a break at Kangaroo Point to enjoy the magnificent views of the Hawkesbury River and its islands before retracing our steps to Tom Richmond Oval.

Walk Grade: 1 (very easy)
Suitability: Recommended for people of all ages and levels of fitness and bushwalking experience. It is wheelchair accessible (with assistance)
Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
