A series of interactive science programs presented by the Children’s Discovery Museum

Children will develop ideas and skills that will inspire further scientific exploration, discovery and learning.

Session 1: Tricks of the Eye
Monday 18 November, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Blink and you’ll miss this intriguing workshop exploring visual illusions and how we view the world, and make a thaumatrope to take home.

Session 2: Our Amazing Bodies
Monday 25 November, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Put your body to the test through a series of fun, but challenging activities that explore the seven senses and examine the efficacy of helmets with a melon model brain.

Session 3: Potato Clock
Monday 2 December, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Discover how electric circuits and batteries work by experimenting with electrical conductors and powering a digital clock with simply a potato!

Session 4: Illuminated Geometry
Monday 9 December, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Be there or be square as we explore geometry in nature, and create illuminated geometric lanterns to take home.

Strictly 6-8 year olds. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
