A series of interactive science programs presented by the Children’s Discovery Museum.

Children will develop ideas and skills that will inspire further scientific exploration, discovery and learning.

Session 1: Dinosaurs and Fossils
Monday 2 September, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Be transported into the past in this hands-on fossil workshop, including exploring real fossils, exploring the prehistoric world of dinosaurs through fossils and reconstructing a dinosaur from fossil evidence.

Session 2: Air All Around Us
Monday 9 September, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Get blown away in the investigation of the invisible as you discover everything about the air all around us, and make a tornado tube to take home.

Session 3: Balancing the Improbable
Monday 16 September, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Explore the science of balancing through a series of ‘centre of mass’ experiments, and make your own gravity-defying Wacky Wobbler to take home!

Session 4: Magic Magnets
Monday 23 September, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Discover which materials cannot escape a magnet’s powers of attraction, and make a magnetic fishing game to take home.

Strictly 6-8 year olds. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
