This summer Hornsby Shire Libraries is joining in the very first state-wide reading program, NSW Reads. It’s a big book club, and everyone in New South Wales is invited.

You are encouraged to read Sydney author Andrew Pippos’s debut novel, Lucky’s a must-read saga of love, family and second chances. Central to the theme of Lucky’s are the iconic Greek milk bar and cafés, found in so many Australian towns and suburbs. NSW Reads will celebrate the heritage of these venues and the migrant experiences of food and community as readers from all over the state share a reading experience.

Public libraries across NSW will be hosting a series of events to celebrate Lucky’s, including an Instagram readalong, a panel discussion on the history of Greek cafes and milkbars and an author talk with Andrew Pippos.

Follow @NSWLibraryEvents on Instagram to keep up to date with all the news and events.

This event is presented as part of NSW Reads with the support of NSW Public Libraries Association.
