International Day of People with Disability

International Day of People with Disability

Art therapy mindfulness session, Fri 3 Dec 10:30-12pm

To celebrate International Day of People with Disability, Hornsby Shire Council is presenting a workshop drawing on Art Therapy techniques.

Using activities such as drawing and collage, participants will be encouraged to explore and express their thoughts and emotions through creativity.

Take the opportunity to relax, nurture yourself and bring mindfulness into your life! It is all done in a non-judgmental space.

Art Therapy relieves stress and anxiety, improves confidence and communication, encourages expression of emotions, develops self-awareness, enhances creativity and imagination as well as self-development.

The workshop will be held on Zoom and you will be able to interact with the workshop facilitator and other participants.

Importantly, you don’t need to know how to draw – it isn’t an art class.

Music as a background will also be used during the session.
