This interesting walk in the upper section of Lane Cove National Park showcases a rich variety of flora and fauna and crosses Byles Creek and Devlins Creek, the sandstone ridge line is particularly rich in heath and woodland plant species. Along this walk there is abundant bird life and you can expect to see many small birds such as honeyeaters, wattlebirds, wrens and you may even spot a resident roosting Powerful Owl. In the event of recent rain, bring a dry pair of socks as creeks crossings can be wet. Look out for the 'eye' of whale rock which is formed by weathering of concentric banding in the sandstone.
