From the railway to the river, this rewarding 3 hour (6 km) return bushwalk follows a section of the Great North Walk down to the picturesque Jerusalem Bay on Cowan Creek. We descend through low-open forest, sandstone swamp and warm temperate rainforest before taking a pleasant meander along the banks of the estuary. At Jerusalem Bay we stop to take in the million dollar views before tackling the climb back up to the ridge.

Grade: 3.5 (moderately challenging to challenging) - sections of trail are hilly, steep and rough. More information about walk grades
