Would you like to do something practical to help Hornsby Shire’s rare and precious Blue Gum High Forest?

Do you love nature and would you like to learn more?

Then join us for this one-off community planting of shrubs, trees and groundcovers at Kenley Park in Normanhurst.

There is no need to make a booking. All are welcome to drop in and lend a hand by doing some planting.

Please bring along a pair of gardening gloves and some drinking water and wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, sturdy footwear and a hat. Tools will be provided.

Breathe in nature

We also warmly welcome anyone who would simply like to have a chat with Council’s Bushland Programs staff and/or enjoy a stroll around the special forest remnant. It’s a relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Find out about Kenley Park Bushcare

Did you know that Kenley Park has a Bushcare group that meets on a Saturday afternoon once a month?

For those who would like to keep on helping the Kenley Park forest, this Bushcare group welcomes new volunteers.

You are very welcome to pop along to the community planting on 3 June to meet the volunteer supervisor and see what Bushcare at Kenley Park is all about.

To find out more about becoming a Bushcare volunteer, visit the bushcare website.
