Limited Reopening of Hornsby Shire Libraries from 1 June 2020

Hornsby Shire Libraries have re-opened in accordance with COVID-19 safety guidelines from the NSW State Government from June 1. Libraries are operating with limited hours, to offer only a Click & Collect service to all library members. We will progressively increase services and opening hours over the coming months based on advice from State and Federal government.

All Hornsby Shire libraries have wheelchair access and wheelchair-accessible toilets, as well as services to assist those with disabilities.

Adaptive Technology Access Centre (ATAC)

The Adaptive Technology Access Centre at Hornsby Library provides equipment and software designed to improve access to the library's resources for people with a disability.


A Luxo Magnification Lamp is available at Hornsby Library.

Home Library Service

A Home Library Service is available for residents unable to visit the library due to disability, illness or frailty.

Staff Assistance

Library staff are available to assist customers to use the collection and facilities. For assistance with computer access and the ATAC a prior appointment is required to discuss your needs. Contact the Home Library Team Leader on (02) 9847 6806.
