Community Centres for hire
Council operates 24 community centres and halls in the Shire. Five centres are directly managed by Council, with the remainder managed by Committees of Management. These Committees consist of community members appointed under section 377 of the Local Government Act as volunteers. The role of these Committees is to manage and promote Council's Community Centres and Halls.
If you are interested in being a volunteer on a 377 Management Committee, please contact the booking officer relevant to each Centre.
Community centres vary in size and the facilities that they offer. Each centre aims to provide services and activities that appeal to a broad cross-section of the community.
These include:
- Casual hire for functions, meetings, and conferences
- Regular hire for Clubs and other Community Groups
- Recreational activities for adults and children
- Classes and seminars for adults and children in a range of topics
Your
feedback or suggested improvements to the service would be appreciated.
