Community Centres for hire


Hornsby Shire Council operates thirty one community and cultural facilities and leisure and learning centres within the Hornsby Shire. Currently, eleven of these facilities are managed by Committees of Council appointed under Section 377 of the Local Government Act, 1993.  Of the remainder, Council's Community and Cultural Facilities Team directly manages eighteen facilities and two are managed through lease/licence agreements with specific community organisations.

Community centres vary in size and the facilities that they offer. Each centre aims to provide services and activities that appeal to a broad cross-section of the community.

These include:

  • Casual hire for functions, meetings, and conferences
  • Regular hire for Clubs and other Community Groups
  • Recreational activities for adults and children
  • Classes and seminars for adults and children in a range of topics
