Somerville Park Early Childhood Education Centre is a 46 place child care centre open from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. The centre is closed on public holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year (includes a pupil free day at the commencement of the New Year).
Somerville Park Early Childhood Education Centre has 40 long day care and 6 sessional care places.
Fees for 2011/2012 include meals, snacks, drinks and nappy service (if required):
- Children 0 to under 3 years old - $95.50 per day
- Children 3 to under 6 years old - $86.50 per day
- $60.00 (non-refundable) enrolment fee is charged for each child enrolled
- There is no charge for public holidays
- A holding deposit equivalent to the full daily fee for each day that each child is enrolled over a two week period must be paid. The holding deposit is held as security and will contribute to the final fee payment when a child is withdrawn from care.

The multi-purpose children's facility also accommodates the following services:
An early intervention program for children with special needs - the program is operated 5 days per week by Lifestart (www.lifestart.org.au), a not-for-profit community based organisation.
A coffee shop for staff and families of the centre - operates during the centre’s opening hours providing light snacks, tea, coffee etc.
Two consulting rooms for early childhood professionals - provides facilities for early childhood consultative services. These services assist to families of children 0-5 years by supporting their individual needs and providing a facility for social interactions to enhance the community's social wellbeing.
