Community exhibition spaces

Council provides a number of exhibition spaces across the Shire.  These spaces are designed to offer artists with an opportunity to display their works within local, well-utilised facilities.

Foyer exhibition spaces

Council's foyer exhibitions spaces are located at:

Cherrybrook Exhibition
  • Berowra Community and Cultural Centre, Gully Road, Berowra
  • Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre, Shepherds Drive, Cherrybrook

The foyer exhibition spaces are equipped with a gallery hanging system and lighting.  They are designed as community spaces for the display of artworks but do not offer the business support that commercial and community galleries offer exhibitors.

What are exhibitors responsible for?

At a foyer exhibition space, the exhibitor is responsible for the setup, marketing and promotion, installation and deinstallation, sales, and staffing of their exhibition.  No commission is charged in the foyer exhibition spaces.

How long can my exhibition last?

Foyer exhibitions can be open for a minimum of one day and a maximum of three days over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday period.  This ensures that the exhibition will maximise attendances, marketing and sales opportunities while minimising ongoing exhibition costs.
