Pre-DA Environmental Assessment


The Environment Division of Hornsby Shire Council can provide a Pre-Development Application Assessment to interested people prior to lodgement of a development application with Council’s Planning Division.

The areas covered by this assessment include:

  1. onsite sewage management, acoustic impacts, contaminated land, acid sulfate soil, air quality, erosion and sediment control plans, soil and water management plans, stormwater devices, urban streams/watercourses, aquatic impacts, food safety, public health, and microbial control;
  2. threatened species, significant vegetation, vegetation management plans and noxious weeds;
  3. tree assessment and landscape plans; and
  4. waste collection areas, waste management plans and pump-out issues associated with onsite sewage management.

$55 pensioner discount
Bushland and Biodiversity $110 – Per hour (minimum of 1 hour)
$55 pensioner discount
Parks and Landscape $110 – Per hour based on the assessment of 5 trees per hour (minimum of 1 hour)
$55 pensioner discount
