Policies
Download - Policy and Guidelines for Noise and Vibration Generating Development - 236kb
Council’s Policy and Guidelines for Noise and Vibration Generating Development contains guidelines for the submission of acoustic reports for proposed developments which have the potential to generate offensive noise and/or vibration.
The Policy and Guidelines provide a framework and criteria for the assessment of noise and vibration impacts from development upon potentially sensitive receivers and describes the procedure to be followed in the preparation of an acoustical assessment report. Recommendations have also been included for indicative control measures, which can be incorporated into a development to reduce the potential noise and vibration impact on the surrounding environment.
Guides
Download - Waste Minimisation and Management Guide - 5.3MB
Council's Waste Minimisation and Management Guide supplements the Waste Minimisation and Management DCP.
The Guide contains design specifications and best practices which seek to educate proponents of development, households and business owners to ensure waste minimisation techniques are employed before, during and after the construction of buildings. The Guide also assists proponents of development to complete a Waste Management Plan - 36kb.
Download - Vegetation Management and Restoration Plan 2008 (VMRP) - 3.7MB
The Vegetation Management and Restoration Plan (VMRP) guidelines will assist with the preparation of a vegetation management plan or a restoration plan required when a development application or landform modification activity impacts on land with ecological values. The guidelines specify the recommended level of information required for a VMRP and are a guide to applicants, residents and consultants to assist them in preparing a plan for Council.
Download - Guidelines for Flora and Fauna Assessment - 168kb
The purpose of the Guidelines is to advise when a Flora and Fauna Report may be required to accompany a Development Application. The Guidelines are to help you prepare a Development Application to Council on land which contains native bushland or is adjoining native bushland, including bushland zoned as National Parks and Nature Reserves or Open Space. The Guidelines specify the minimum level of information required for a flora and fauna report and provide advice on how the Council will process reports.
