    At last week’s meeting Council voted to submit a formal proposal to the Government asking for the return of the area south of the M2,  which was transferred to the City of Parramatta Council in May 2016 as part of the amalgamation process.

    I had the privilege this year of being part of the ANZAC dawn ceremony at Villers-Bretonneux, laying a wreath as part of the service. My only regret was that I missed the ANZAC services I usually attend throughout Hornsby Shire.
