Banner placement

The "Slow down, kids are back at school" banner is used at schools throughout the Shire to remind drivers of school days at the start of term.

Suitable for primary and secondary schools.


 

Parking management in school area

Council advises schools on parking management, including placement of signage, set down and pick up areas, pedestrian crossings and other assets.

School pedestrian crossing program

Council evaluates the placement of school crossings and forwards requests to the RMS.

Suitable for primary schools.


Graduated licensing scheme workshop

Council holds quarterly workshops for parents of learner drivers. Maximum group of 35.

Walk to school day

Walk to school days encourage exercise & reduces impacts on the environment. Register with the Pedestrian Council.

Alternative transport

Information and support regarding alternate modes of transport for getting students to and from school.

Information and support regarding safe cycling around schools.

Enforcement

Council is responsible for ensuring the enforcement of parking regulations around school zones. Council can provide parents with information, which can be tailored to school's needs.
