Community Grants

Hornsby Shire Council supports local community groups by providing and assisting with community grants.

Hornsby Shire ClubGRANTS Donation Scheme

Applications for 2018 open Monday 12 March and close Thursday 31 May.

ClubGRANTS funding is available for community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities. The money comes from the five largest registered clubs in the Shire.

Funding is divided into two categories.

Category 1 is for specific community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities.

Category 2 is for other community development support services and applications are made by sending a letter directly to one of the participating clubs. The five clubs are:

  • Hornsby RSL
  • Magpies Waitara
  • West Pennant Hills Sports Club
  • Asquith Bowling Club
  • The Galston Club

Previously funded organisations must have completed their Standard Funding Report Forms for prior to the closing date, or further applications will not be considered.  Forms can be found on Clubs NSW website.

Standard Funding Report Forms can be returned to Sue Downing via email:  sdowning@hornsby.nsw.gov.au
