Community Grants

Hornsby Shire Council supports local community groups by providing and assisting with community grants.

Council's Donation Program

Council is excited to announce the re-launch of its Community Grants and Sponsorship program in 2016. Council will be selecting community partners to support events geared towards the entire Hornsby Shire community.

Hornsby Shire ClubGRANTS Donation Scheme

Applications for 2017 open Monday 13 March and close Wednesday 31 May.

ClubGRANTS funding is available for community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities. The money comes from the five largest registered clubs in the Shire.

Funding is divided into two categories.

Category 1 is for specific community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities.

Make an application

Category 2 is for other community development support services and applications are made by sending a letter directly to one of the participating clubs. The five clubs are:

  • Hornsby RSL
  • Magpies Waitara
  • West Pennant Hills Sports Club
  • Asquith Bowling Club
  • The Galston Club

Mayor's Youth Trust Fund

The Mayor’s Youth Trust Fund provides financial support to young people who are representing themselves, their school or their community in an extracurricular or sporting activity.
