Hornsby Shire Council manages traffic on all public roads within the Shire, except for classified main roads and traffic signal sites.


Pedestrian Safety

Northern Sydney councils have again joined together on the Distracted…? pedestrian safety campaign.

Hornsby along with, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, Manly, Mosman, North Sydney, Pittwater, Ryde, Warringah and Willoughby, in conjunction with the Roads & Maritime Services, are working to make pedestrians more aware of the dangers of distraction while using mobile devices when they are out and about.

Hornsby Shire Council encourages increased use of sustainable transport such as walking, cycling and public transport.
