Hornsby Council receives informal and formal applications for information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. Under the Act Council is required to provide information on its web site concerning any formal GIPA applications which have resulted in the release of information which is likely to be of interest to members of the public. Certain information about these applications must be published in Council's Disclosure Log, including:
- the date the application was decided
- a description of the information to which access was provided in response to the application
- what information is now available to the public
- how this information can be accessed
Clause 80(m) of the GIPA Act provides a right of review of a decision to include information in the Disclosure Log
Note, personal information will not be included in the Disclosure log.
